This post will tell you what you need to know about the
mission system is TSW. The reason I am writing this post is because when you
get the game you might have the mind-set of jumping headlong into the game and
getting ready for a grind right through until completion.
Most people trying out The Secret World will have played
Diablo III or World of Warcraft and with these games you can literally be one of
the best players if you grind your way through the game and spend hours at the
computer!
The Secret World is different – a lot different!
Here are some tips that will improve your progress in the
game:

Do one mission at a time! You of course get
different mission types but whatever one you are doing at the time don’t try
and multi task the missions.
The reason for this is because when you finish one mission
you can just ring it in and you don’t need to run back and get another mission
from the NPC who gave you the mission. You will always find a new mission at
the end of the mission you have just completed if that makes sense?

Get ready to use a bit of brainwork – Remember when
I was talking about not just grinding through the game? Well you need to
actually go offline and do some research for some of the missions and
especially the Investigation missions.
You will of course have to work out which ones as you will
only get clues BUT as a rule of thumb if the mission is talking about a person
in the real world more often than not you will have to go and do some research.
Don’t worry about seeing the end game! Not because you won’t
get there but because the end game starts in Kingsmouth right at the start! The
difference is how powerful you will be – so view the game like a real work as
oppose to different zones that you need to race through.
Some people may not like the changes that The Secret World adds
to MMO games but I welcome them!
